A recent marital “discussion” involved the stud rams enthusiastic “mowing” of a row in the orchard, which involved knocking over tree guards and stripping young trees of leaves, tender branches, and in one case, um, the whole trunk. Two of the trees were white and black mulberries which have reshot with a healthy gaggle of leafy twigs, the almond has very surprisingly recovered to a reasonable extent, the plum, well, may you RIP, but the most amazing recovery is by the Black Genoa fig which has decided to come back from the dead with a number of leaves and …FRUIT!!!
Seems it thrives on SEVERE pruning. Yay!
