Lambing is a busy time of the year on the farm and there are always the inevitable losses.  For a couple of days we had drenching rain and a harsh cold wind, and a few of the newly born lambs never had a chance to dry out after being born.  Luckily not many, though.

Sammy the Lambie was cold, wet and starving when we found her, but a couple of nights next to the woodfire and some warm milk in the belly did wonders.

I remember the man of the house saying last week “We will not be having any lambs inside by the fire,” but I’m pretty sure it was that same man who carried her inside… 🙂
